Directing
Neil began directing with a collective-created ensemble piece called Checkhov by the Sea at the Erindale Fringe at U of T in 2004. His passion for Youth Theatre then lead him to Original Kids, where he directed Romeo and Juliet, as well as the Toronto Youth Theatre where he directed RENT, MWAHAHAHAHA!!! (An Evening of Vice and Villainy), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Spring Awakening, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Avenue Q. During this time he won several BroadwayWorld awards, including Best Youth Theatre Production and Best Amateur Theatre Production.
Neil has also directed Chess for Althouse College at The University of Western Ontario, Urinetown for the U.C. Follies at the University of Toronto, Chun Li for Monkeyman Productions, and Kicked at the London Fringe Festival
